Day Care:

Doggy Day Care is a friendly, action packed, fun and safe alternative to long lonely days at home. Many dog owners might be unaware that their dog may be suffering from isolation. Dogs are extremely social creatures and they crave social interaction with people and other dogs. This interaction is needed for a well balanced dog.

A bored dog often displays what we humans see as destructive behaviour like licking, digging, barking, and biting. Playing helps keep a dogs body and mind active an exercised, which in turn leads to a happier healthier and better behaved dog.

A day in our Day Care helps burn off your dogs built up energy in a supervised play environment where they learn new things and play almost all day long until the time comes that you take one very tiered and happy pooch home. We only use positive and reward based training.

Assessment:
All dogs will go through an assessment prior to joining the day care group.
During the assessment we will ask you (the dog owner) the history on your dog(s) including previous owners, known issues, previous socialization and interactions with other dogs.  It is helpful to know as much as possible so we can make the introduction to the pack as smooth as possible. This process normally takes no more than 15-30 minutes.
A member of staff will then become acquainted with your dog(s) in a controlled and friendly environment. We will monitor your dog’s body language, posture and reactions during different interactions. We will assess toy aggression or possession and we will check for food aggression and fear aggression. We will do this in a number of scenarios a number of times before introducing your pet to the pack.

Evaluation:
Once your dog has successfully completed the assessment process, we will store photos of you, your dog and up to 5 people who you authorize to collect your dog. You may then book your dog in for day care on the available dates.

In the event that we feel a dog may need more training to interact safely with the pack we will give you options as to different courses available to deal with the relevant issues.

Guidlines:

• All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations including kennel cough(proof required)
• All dogs must be free of parasites (fleas, tics, worms and lice) All Dogs are inspected upon entry.
• Dogs must be in good condition(no coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, 48 hours prior to arrival at the facility)
• All dogs must be brought in and out of the facility on a collar and lead.
• Prior to joining the Day Care your dog(s) MUST complete the assessment. Our facility is not designed to handle dogs in segregation.
